Nikki Schenk
Nikki Schenk is a respected contemporary dance artist now based in Victoria, BC. Known for her insightful approach to movement, Nikki views dance as a powerful medium for practicing awareness, fostering curiosity, and nurturing creative expression. Her choreographic works and classes are known for empowering individuals to engage in self-discovery and exploration. Nikki creates an environment where participants are encouraged to embrace a sense of play and innovation, free from the constraints of expectations.
Her philosophy centers on the belief that movement should be a joyful and fulfilling experience, uniquely tailored to each individual.
Nikki’s dedication to her craft is reflected in her recent completion of a prestigious four-year training program with Modus Operandi in Vancouver, BC. During this time, she had the privilege of collaborating with and learning from some very distinguished artists and choreographers in the field, including Shay Kuebler, Renee Sigouin, Nicolas Ventura, Jillian Meyers, Kirsten Wicklund, Livona Ellis, and Doug Letheren, among others.
Her professional journey began at the Ballet Victoria Conservatory, where she underwent intensive training in ballet and contemporary dance. Nikki’s background and experience have established her as a respected figure in the dance community, known for her commitment to excellence and her ability to inspire those she works with.
